Dani Damel - Outlaws Pitching Coach

Danielle graduated with a degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She lead Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to a conference title and multiple appearances in the NCAA Super Regionals.

Dani broke a number of school records at TAMUCC including an NCAA record for fewest walks in a season. Danielle received many academic accolades including Academic All-American.

After graduation, Dani joined the TAMUCC staff, under Missy Dickerson (UCLA, 1988-1991), and worked as a pitching and conditioning coach for the softball program.At Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Danielle earned a Master’s  Degree in Clinical Psychology.

Played and coached in Denmark. She participated in the European Championships and helped develop the sport of softball. Lead Instructor of Beyond The White Lines Softball Academy and is the Assistant Coach of the Canada Future’s Collegiate Showcase Team.

Dave Paetkau - Outlaws Batting Coach

Dave works with our players as he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. He is the owner of Abbotsford’s own Power Zone Academy since 2003.Dave is the lead instructor at Yale Secondary School’s Softball Academy in Abbotsford.  From 2010- 2019 ‘Coach Dave’ was the hitting and outfield coach for the Canadian Women’s national team and from 2008-2009 Dave was head coach of Denmark’s Men’s National Team. Dave is a member of Softball Canada’s Long Term Player Development committee since 2008 and a Learning Facilitator for the Comp Dev Coaching Program since 2013.Dave is also an accomplished Softball player.

  • 8 year member of Canadian Men’s National Fastpitch Team

Kelsey Chapdelaine - Strength Coach

The AMFA and Abbotsford Outlaws are excited to announce that we have partnered with Kelsey Chapdelaine of Team Theorem to be the official provider of nutritional guidance, along with strength and conditioning programs. 

Kelsey is a former pac 12 basketball player at the University of California Berkeley, along with the University of California Santa Barbara, a national team member, and is currently an assistant volleyball and strength coach at the University of the Fraser Valley. 

 

Jessie Sewell - House Pitching Coach

Jessie is the lead pitching instructor for our developmental players. She is a former Abbotsford Outlaw and has pitched at both the A and B levels in rep throughout her career, she is one of the best pitchers to work her way through the Abbotsford system. Jessie is also an accomplished power hitter and has plenty of wisdom to impart on the players that she is coaching. 

Ella Syroid - House Catching Coach

Ella boasts an impressive sports history. She secured third place at the 2018 BC Summer Games in Cowichan and represented Canada for two years (2017-2018) in the Canada/Cuba goodwill tour. In 2018, she played for Canada Futures and has been a member of the Outlaws for nine years, joining the Abbotsford Outlaws 2002 team in 2014. Her dedication and sportsmanship were acknowledged with the AMFA effort core value award in 2020 and 2021. Currently, Ella serves as an assistant coach for the 2012b Outlaws, working alongside Daniel and Bailey, nurturing the talents of the next generation of athletes.

Jordyn Loupret - House Infield Coach

Jordyn is a defensive specialist having most recently played shortstop for our U19B team. Jordyn is also very talented at the plate and loves instructing younger players in how to have effective at bats. Naturally kind and welcoming Jordyn graduated from our rep Outlaws program and we are lucky to have Jordyn back instructing.
