6On behalf of all the fantastic ambassadors associated with the AMFA, our inspirational coaches, our organized team managers, and the terrific Board members, it is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 2026 Softball season!

The offseason is busy but rewarding; we want to thank the coaches and instructors for their passion for teaching during our offseason training. I would also like to thank the Executive Leadership team; your efforts to create a positive experience for everyone in the AMFA are unusual but seen. Most of all, to every one of the players who last season represented our brand, played with passion, trained with commitment, a heartfelt thank you.

Regarding significant events for the 2026 season, we plan to start things off with a bang. Opening Day is planned for Saturday, April 4th, where we expect to have over 1000 people from the community out to Ex Park to enjoy the festivities. There will be games for little ones, a team parade, fun giveaways, and award presentations. This is one of the AMFA’s signature events, and we hope to build on the event’s multiyear momentum.

On the weekend of May 15-17, we will host the seventh annual Spirit of the Game tournament for our U11C recreational program. With a record number of 9 teams in the AMFA’s U11C program this spring, we know this will be a wonderful community event.  This is the second signature event on our calendar. The tournament intends to give those who are brand new to the game an incredible experience. They connect with their teammates, participate in skills competitions, play lots of Softball, and explore the joy of sport.

Our purpose is to connect our community and to help kids find joy in sport. If this purpose resonates with you and you want to get involved, please click the button below; our purpose becomes more of a reality with every willing volunteer.

With Gratitude,

Tom Eaton, President
